Water is precious: use it wisely
Sardinia is an island with limited water resources and often faces drought conditions, especially in summer. During this time, water consumption increases significantly due to tourism, putting pressure on the local supply.

Parking & Shuttles: Getting Around Without the Stress
During peak season, driving around Dorgali and Cala Gonone can be challenging. By following these simple tips, you can park with ease and reach the main attractions without hassle—for you or others.
Parking Areas & Payment
In Dorgali and Cala Gonone, paid parking areas are managed by the Municipality and marked with blue lines.
Rates are displayed on signs near the parking spaces.

Free Shuttle + Discounted Parking
To ease access to the port and beaches during peak hours, a free shuttle service operates in connection with a discounted parking area:

Where NOT to Park
Road to Cala Fuili
Parking is prohibited along the road leading to Cala Fuili. In the stretch between the Viale Bue Marino – Via Laconi junction and Cala Fuili, parking is not allowed in the evening hours.
If you’re planning a beach day at Cala Fuili or Ziu Martine, unload your gear, turn around, and look for a safe and legal parking spot that doesn’t block traffic.
Campers
Please use the designated camper service areas in Cala Gonone, which offer proper waste disposal and dedicated services. Be sure to check traffic signs, as camper access is restricted on some central roads in both Dorgali and Cala Gonone.
Families with Children
Dorgali and Cala Gonone are ideal destinations for families traveling with kids. The area offers plenty of opportunities for safe, fun, and nature-filled experiences.

We’re happy to welcome dogs and their owners, with a few simple rules to respect the area and ensure peaceful coexistence with other guests.
Beach Access
Dogs are allowed on all beaches before 8:00 a.m. and after 8:00 p.m.
During other hours, three designated areas are available where you can enjoy the sea together with your furry friend:

A section of the beach at Osalla
Best Practices
– Always pick up after your dog and dispose of waste properly in the designated bins.
– Keep your dog on a leash in public areas and make sure it does not disturb local wildlife or other beachgoers.
Water Points & Services
Public water fountains are available at Cala Gonone Port, Piazza Funtana, and Roseddu in Dorgali.
In town, you’ll also find boarding and grooming services for dogs, in case you’d like to enjoy activities that aren’t dog-friendly.

Dorgali and Cala Gonone apply a tourist tax, a small contribution that doesn’t go to waste:
the funds are reinvested directly in the area to improve tourist services during the summer season.
